Hi Claire,
Ssmypics Windows 10 1
1) Copy ssmypics.scr from Windows XP (or get the file online) to c:windows:system32 in Windows 7. Can get this file from a computer that has the file. 2) Right click on ssmypics.scr after copying, and select “Install”. 3) Personalize the screensaver; in “Settings”, check “Show file names”, and click “OK”. Jul 03, 2018 If the SCRNSAVE.EXE registry value is 'C:Windowssystem32ssmypics.scr,' locate the ImageDirectory registry value in the following path: HKEYCURRENTUSERControl PanelScreen Saver.Slideshow. Browse to the folder that is indicated in the registry value, and then delete any invalid photo shortcuts in the folder and in the subfolders. Does anyone have any ideas about best practices when it comes to the size of the screen saver file. Marketing wants to put out a 20 meg file, i have said no, thats too big to download to every workstation. Well best practices now is to NOT use screen savers as they are redundant.
- The file is called SSMYPICS.SCR and is in C: Windows System32 rc wrote: one of my 'my pictures' slideshow has become a screen saver option. How can I remove it so that it no longer can be set as screen saver?
- Recently, I went away for a 10-day trip. I wanted to leave a Kliban image on my screen that would be rotated daily. The obvious choice, of course, would be a slide-show style screensaver, but I had two problems with this. First, the Windows Live slide show screensaver in Windows 7 did not allow me to specify an arbitrary duration for image.
- GeekDrew, There's is a file called ssmypics.scr in C: Window System32 (use the search feature.scr ) from there, copy that to your desktop, rt click, and you can configure that scr to point to what ever picture folder you would set it to for that dept. You could create a.scr for each dept i suppose. Then create your GPO for each dept to point to it's own.scr file.
